Classes

PdfFont

A font that can be used to draw text. Font instances are independent of documents and can be shared; each document creates its own font dictionary (and subset) on first use.

PdfStandardFont

One of the 14 standard Type 1 fonts that every PDF viewer provides (not embedded). Text is encoded with WinAnsiEncoding (Western European characters incl. German umlauts and €). Use PdfTrueTypeFont for other scripts or for PDF/A, which requires embedded fonts.

PdfTrueTypeFont

An embedded TrueType or OpenType font with full Unicode support. The font is embedded as composite font (Type0, Identity-H). TrueType outlines are subset to the used glyphs; CFF-based OpenType fonts are embedded completely. A ToUnicode map is always written so text remains extractable/searchable.

WinAnsiEncoding

WinAnsiEncoding (Windows code page 1252) as used by simple PDF fonts (ISO 32000-2, Annex D).
